What is the voltage across a 10-ohm resistor if a current of 2 amperes flows through it?
- A.8 volts
- B.0.2 volts
- C.12 volts
- D.20 volts (correct answer)
WhyA 10-ohm resistor with a current of 2 amperes flowing through it has a voltage of 20 volts across it. Ohm's law gives voltage as current multiplied by resistance: 2 amperes times 10 ohms works out to 20 volts, answer D. A, B, and C don't match that multiplication.
