What is the resistance of a circuit for which the applied voltage is 12 volts and the current flow is 1.5 amperes?
- A.18 ohms
- B.0.125 ohms
- C.8 ohms (correct answer)
- D.13.5 ohms
WhyA circuit with an applied voltage of 12 volts and a current flow of 1.5 amperes has a resistance of 8 ohms. Ohm's law gives resistance as voltage divided by current: 12 volts divided by 1.5 amperes works out to 8 ohms, answer C. A, B, and D don't match that division.
