Extra exam question E7C07

Which describes a Pi-L network?
- A.A Phase Inverter Load network
- B.A Pi-network with an additional output series inductor (correct answer)
- C.A network with only three discrete parts
- D.A matching network in which all components are isolated from ground
WhyA Pi-L network is a Pi-network with an additional output series inductor. A Pi-L network is simply a Pi-network with an additional series inductor added at its output, extending the basic Pi-network's filtering and matching capability, answer B. "Phase Inverter Load network" isn't what Pi-L actually stands for, it isn't limited to only three discrete parts (that would just describe the basic Pi-network alone), and it doesn't isolate all its components from ground, the Pi-network's shunt elements are deliberately connected to ground.
