T5C08
What formula is used to calculate electrical power (P) in a DC circuit?
- A.P = I x E (correct answer)
- B.P = E / I
- C.P = I2 x E
- D.P = I / E
WhyElectrical power (P) in a DC circuit is calculated with the formula P = I x E. Electrical power in a DC circuit equals current multiplied by voltage, P = I x E, answer A. B divides instead of multiplying, C squares the current when only P = I-squared x R, using resistance, not voltage, does that, and D divides current by voltage, which doesn't yield power in any standard formula.
