CW (continuous wave / Morse code)

The mode of sending Morse code by keying a transmitter on and off. Despite being the oldest radio mode, CW remains popular because its narrow bandwidth lets weak signals be copied through noise that would make voice unreadable. Morse proficiency hasn't been required for any US license class since 2007.
