Amateur satellite

A satellite carrying amateur radio equipment, allowing hams on the ground to relay contacts through it, often over much greater distances than direct VHF/UHF line-of-sight would allow. Working satellites is a popular Technician-accessible specialty since many satellite passes only need VHF/UHF privileges.
