Extra exam question E1E11
Subelement E1, COMMISSION RULES· Group E1E · 47 CFR §97.509(i)
What must the VE team do if an examinee scores a passing grade on all examination elements needed for an upgrade or new license?
- A.Photocopy all examination documents and forward them to the FCC for processing
- B.Three VEs must certify that the examinee is qualified for the license grant and that they have complied with the administering VE requirements (correct answer)
- C.Issue the examinee the new or upgrade license
- D.All these choices are correct
WhyOnce an examinee passes all needed examination elements, three VEs must certify that the examinee is qualified for the license grant and that the administering VE requirements were followed. §97.509(i) requires that three VEs certify an examinee is qualified for the license grant and confirm that the administering VE requirements were followed, before the examinee's success on all needed elements can result in a new or upgraded license, answer B. Photocopying and forwarding documents to the FCC isn't how the VE team itself completes this step, and the VE team doesn't issue the license directly, that comes later once the paperwork reaches the VEC and FCC.
